Even though this house is closer to the bay, we put it in our oceanside section because this northern part of the island is sufficiently narrow that there's not much of a walk from one side to the other.

You'll see the bay from the wrap-around verandah of this original colonial cottage on an acre of ground on the north end of the island. A little path takes you to a bay beach that will rarely have anyone else in sight.

Furnishings are simple, comfortable, charming, and family-feeling.

The two bedrooms are augmented by a pull-out couch in the living room and a couple of beds on the porch for true outdoor lovers.
